Goals

Librarianship is a service oriented profession.  So, it can be tough to differentiate between professional responsibilities and service.  However, one major goal I have in the service area also somewhat crosses into the scholarship section.  I would love to find a way to build collaboration between the academic library in which I work with the schools that feed into it.

Another goal of mine is much more general. As I learn about service opportunities on campus and within the library itself, I would like to build a reputation of being the go-to person for specific areas of my interest – especially in research and instruction.  While this isn’t well defined at this point in time, I understand that it is an evolving field, and the needs for service evolve with it.  As I gain more library experience, my goals will become much more specific.
